    Christina Jackson, PhD, LCPC (She/Her/Hers)

    Dr. Jackson is the founder and CEO of Samaritan Counseling and Consulting Services LLC. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. With her sights set on developing the next generation of mental health professionals, Dr. Jackson spent 14 years teaching and training future mental health professionals at Adler University in Chicago. She served in various administrative and leadership roles during her tenure there.

    Dr. Jackson has been a peer-reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission accrediting body for almost 10 years. She has enlightened many during a number of international, national, and regional conferences on topics including psychological distress of Black men, multigenerational trauma of African Americans, the relationship between epigenetics and therapy. Dr. Jackson has worked in various community mental health agencies and university counseling and career centers over the years, and has been an active member of the Association of Black Psychologists, American Psychological Association, and the Illinois Counseling Association.

    A mother of 3, Dr. Jackson has counseled clients from age 4 to 60+ with a variety of clinical concerns. Her clients have a diversity of racial/ethnic, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds, sexual orientations, and abilities. They range in levels of power in their careers as well. Dr. Jackson is able to guide her clients from a religious/spiritual perspective, if desired.
